The Bermuda DNUG is a group of technically minded individuals who get together to share ideas, discuss new technologies and ultimately challenge ourselves to be better. This site will be used initially for communicating about upcoming events and to share resources members of the group come across but in time we hope to grow the functionality and we welcome suggestions. Explore the site and let us know what you think – we welcome feedback so we can offer more to our community.

The Bermuda DNUG is a not for profit association and is dedicated to advancing .NET development on the Island by sharing knowledge and learning from each other. Group meetings are held three times a year and discussions range from coding techniques to general architecture to .NET "best practices". When funds allow, the group will bring well known “celebrities” from the Microsoft development community to come and talk about their areas of specialty. The talks aim to be cutting edge, dynamic and interactive. Learning is the goal!

History & Mission

Established in 2011, we are Bermuda’s first .NET User Group. It was formed by; Sandra DeSilva, founder of Nova; Paul Coleman, founder oftx.bm; and Russell Medway, at the time Chief Technology Officer at Ironshore and now QuoVadis. The mission set by the group was to;

  • Further the development of .NET skills in Bermuda: to provide access to education and training that is aligned to the needs of software developers using the .NET framework.
  • Share ‘best practices’: to share and facilitate discussion of ‘best practices’ around design, development and test.
  • Provide an avenue for networking: to assist software developers in building a strong network of peers to interact and engage with.
  • To enhance Bermuda’s standing in the international software development community: contributing to attracting and developing high calibre individuals within the software development industry.

If you’d like to get involved and contribute to the group, we’d love to hear from you! Get In Touch!
