The Client
The Client, a property catastrophe reinsurer located in Bermuda providing protection services globally to insurers and reinsurers.
The Business Challenge
The Client faced business challenges related to the use of restrictive applications and needed to adopt more flexible information tools to assist staff in simplifying the use of dynamic modeling and interoperability across the various information sources. Management was determined to find the best way to conduct an accelerated systems upgrade as the amount of data needed to be processed and analyzed continued to increase. Management looked for a provider who had the experience and versatility to bridge the gap between its current systems and ideal objectives.
The Solution
Once Nova completed a series of stakeholder interviews, a list of functional and technical requirements was tabled with the company executive to ensure all parameters of the project were reviewed, prioritized and confirmed.
A critical component of the project was to select the appropriate destination platform for the existing applications. To maximize the value of the investment the following criteria had to be met:
